We are seeking a highly skilled Repairs Surveyor specializing in Engineering and Surveying to join our dynamic team. As a Repairs Surveyor, you will be responsible for identifying property defects, determining repair needs, and advising on the best engineering solutions to ensure our buildings meet health and safety standards. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including property management teams, project managers, and contractors, to develop repair plans that align with budgetary constraints while maintaining quality and efficiency. In this role, you will utilize state-of-the-art surveying equipment and software to carry out detailed assessments, prepare technical reports, and provide recommendations for remedial actions. Responsibilities
Conduct thorough inspections and surveys of properties to identify defects and necessary repairs.
Prepare detailed technical reports outlining survey findings and recommendations for remedial actions.
Collaborate with contractors and project managers to develop and implement repair plans.
Evaluate cost estimates for proposed repairs and ensure they align with budgets and financial guidelines.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations during surveying and repair processes.
Advise on materials and engineering solutions that enhance the durability and aesthetic appeal of properties.
Utilize advanced surveying technologies and software to improve accuracy in assessments and reporting.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Surveying, or a related field.
Professional accreditation (e.g., MRICS, RICS, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Proven experience in property surveyance and repairs, particularly in a residential or commercial setting.
Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and health and safety standards.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to identify issues effectively.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective stakeholder engagement.
Proficient in using surveying tools and software for accurate data collection and reporting.
