Role The Systems & Supportability Engineering team is part of our consultancy business who deliver services in partnership with national government bodies, international institutions and global prime contractors. Supportability Consultants support Defence Projects by leading or inputting into the key element plans for supportability, preparation of Logistic Information Repository (LIR) and Logistic Support Analysis Record (LSAR), development of key performance indicators, Learning from Experience (LFE) collection, implementation, and continuous improvement. About You The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following essential and desirable skills and attributes Essential: Proven experience in Logistics, Maintenance or Supply Chain background, with Defence sector experience. Educated to degree level or equivalent, with a relevant professional qualification (e.g., Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) / Incorporated Engineer (IEng)) You will have previously managed or been part of ILS teams, delivering an efficient support solution which bring the customer value for money. Excellent analytical skills to support and deliver the ILS solutions that are deployed by our customers. An understanding of Technical Through Life Support (TTLS) and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) with the capacity to be involved in support solution development across the whole CADMID cycle. Experience of assisting the Bid Winning process and practice such as PQQ/ITT/ITN. Experience or understanding of Integrated Product Support (IPS) methodologies. Strong supplier and customer management skills to include engagement and interfacing with key stakeholders to develop plans and strategies. Strong verbal, presentation, and report-writing skills. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads under pressure. Ability to travel to client sites across UK as required. (Predominantly South and South-West Regions). Desirable: Membership of a professional body (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IEng / CEng)). Experience working in a consultancy environment or with government clients. Experience of assisting the Bid Winning process and practice such as PQQ/ITT/ITN. Proven track record of delivery Defence ILS programmes at varying phases of the CADMID cycle. Working knowledge and the ability to apply the principles of Defence Standard 00-600 and associated policies to Defence projects as well as IPS methodologies and the differences between the two approaches. Experience in delivering Logistic Defence Line Of Development (DLOD) assurance in MoD. Other Requirements: Candidates must have an existing right to live and work in the UK. Candidates will need to undergo an internal BPSS check prior to gaining site access. Candidates will also need to either hold a current SC clearance or be willing and eligible to undergo a Security Clearance check (SC level) upon starting their employment with the company.
