PHILIP MORANT SCHOOL AND COLLEGE COVER SUPERVISOR Pay Range: Local Government Scale 5 Actual Salary from: £19,122 – £20,064 (Points 9-12) Start Date: 6th January 2025 or as soon as possible The Role We are seeking an outstanding Cover Supervisor to join Philip Morant School and College. Our most recent Ofsted report states: “School is a calm and orderly place. Pupils respect staff. They show this in their responsiveness to instructions.” “Staff are proud to work at the school and feel valued.” We are looking for an individual who can join our team of cover supervisors who can uphold our expectations to ensure that school remains a calm and orderly place in the absence of a member of teaching staff. This role will support classes in the absence of a teacher, ensuring that good standards of behaviour for learning are met and that students engage in the work set. The cover supervisor will support students to ensure they can be “the best they can be.” This post is 31.25 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus non-pupil days). The working pattern will be 8:10am – 3:10pm Monday to Friday (including a 45-minute unpaid break). Some of your key responsibilities will include: Supervising whole classes. Leaving accurate reports for teachers on work completed and engagement from students. When required providing consistency for a longer term absence for a member of staff. Providing supervision to small groups of students. Supporting the whole school provision through trips and activities.
