Support Assistant / Learning Support Assistant.
Social Care experience preferred but not essential.
Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a ALN Support Assistant to work in a local ALN schools/Units in the Llanelli/Carmarthenshire areas on a part-time/full time basis starting as soon as possible.
A Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for a children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) plays a multifaceted role, encompassing academic support, personal care, and communication facilitation. Their primary responsibilities include assisting with daily routines, providing individualised support for learning, and liaising with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the student's needs are met.
Attend to Personal Needs: LSAs provide assistance with personal hygiene, health, first aid, and other welfare matters.
Promote Integration: LSAs facilitate the student's interaction with peers and create inclusive environments.
About the role
The successful Support Assistant / Learning Support Assistant will be able to build a positive relationship with an individual and provide specialist support in a classroom setting to cater for the special educational needs and disabilities of the child. This is a highly rewarding career that requires a flexible approach, creativity and excellent communication in order to engage the pupil with their learning. The ideal Support Assistant / Learning Support Assistant will be patient, enthusiastic, resilient and motivated to promote the child’s progress.

About the school
School hours are 08:30am - 15:30pm, term-time only.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
