The Role
As a Senior Systems Engineer you will have a role that is out of the ordinary. You will support in the delivery of systems engineering for EM sensors and In-Water Equipment, ensuring project success from design to acceptance. You’ll contribute through managing technical outputs, collaborating with teams, and conducting integration tests.
Day-to-day, you will be responsible for:
* Planning and conducting the full system dry integration tests
* Adopting and implementing systems engineering practices consistent with the overall program values
* Managing weekly work package outputs by assigning and tracking tasks through project tracking tools such as Kanban and Jira
* Collaborating with the Project Manager and Engineering Delivery Manager (EDM) to ensure that the Project Plan reflects current objectives and timelines
* Managing technical outputs in accordance with the Engineering Plan, identifying process gaps or opportunities for efficiencies
Essential experience of the Senior Systems Engineer:
* Demonstrated experience in applying systems engineering principles, processes and methodologies
* Experience managing the entire product lifecycle from design through to in-service support in a maritime or defence environment
* Familiarity with integration processes including design proving and acceptance testing of complex systems
* Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information to various stakeholders
