About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee the construction of a student accommodation project in the heart of Bristol City Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile project that will play a key role in the local community. As Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring the project runs on time, within budget, and meets quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and manage all site activities, ensuring the project progresses as per the schedule.
* Lead, motivate, and manage a team of subcontractors, site workers, and other personnel.
* Ensure that all health, safety, and environmental standards are adhered to on site at all times.
* Liaise with the Project Manager, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and resolve any issues.
* Oversee the delivery and quality control of materials and workmanship on site.
* Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, health and safety documentation, and progress reports.
* Monitor and control site budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
* Implement and enforce strict quality control procedures to meet project standards.
* Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with all regulations and building codes.
* Act as the main point of contact for all site-related issues, providing solutions where necessary.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on student accommodation, social housing, or similar residential construction projects.
* Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to act decisively when issues arise.
* Knowledge of local building regulations and planning requirements in Bristol.
* CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card and relevant health & safety qualifications.
* A background in managing budgets and resources effectively.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
