Job Description:
If you are looking for a rewarding new role within healthcare, you are in the right place!
Working in healthcare can be incredibly fulfilling as it allows you to make a positive impact on people's lives every day.
We are looking for experienced and committed Healthcare Assistants with an interactive approach, who are eager to enhance their skills in the complex care sector. While prior complex care experience is beneficial, it is not a requirement as full bespoke clinical training will be provided.
We believe in creating a warm and inclusive environment where our young service user can thrive, and we're seeking a care team who shares our vision. If you're passionate about making a positive difference in the life of a child and have experience or a willingness to learn about complex care needs, we want to hear from you!
Benefits of this role include:
* Competitive Pay Rates
* Full Clinical Training
Meet our service user:
Our service user is a young girl who lives with her family and their 2 dogs in Skelmersdale.
We’re looking for an interactive and engaging Healthcare Assistant to join her team, providing care throughout the day and night on a 1:1 basis.
During term time she requires a Healthcare Assistant who is skilled in complex clinical care to accompany her within her educational setting. You will provide full support with her physical and clinical needs during school hours.
In addition to this, you will also support her in accessing the activities she enjoys. This includes going out in the community and visiting the park & beach, caravan holidays, hydrotherapy and spending quality time at home. She also enjoys Disney films, cartoons and other age-appropriate shows which are bright with varying sounds and songs.
Overnight, you will offer comfort and reassurance when needed, as well as promoting a restful environment. You will tend to her clinical interventions and ensure that her needs are met in a timely manner.
It is important to note that our lovely young service user is registered blind and unable to communicate verbally. Whilst she can understand conversation, to avoid her becoming distressed or frustrated, it is key that you spend time to get to know the unique signals and cues she uses to make her needs known, such as facial expressions and sounds.
To be successful in this role it is essential that you have experience with the following:
* Medication Administration
* Personal Care
* Moving and Handling
* Pet Friendly
Experience working with the following clinical needs is desirable, however is not essential to be considered for this role:
* PEG Feeding & Medication
Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.
We have the following shifts available:
* Part Time
* Days: 8am – 4pm or 8am - 7pm
* Nights: 10pm – 8am
Take a look at our pay rates:
Weekdays: £13.00 per hour (£143 approx. per 11-hour shift)
Weeknights: £13.50 per hour (£135 approx. per 10-hour shift)
Saturday: £14.00 per hour (£154 approx. per 11-hour shift)
Sunday: £14.50 per hour (£159.50 approx. per 11-hour shift)
Bank Holiday: £16.00 per hour (£176 approx. per 11-hour shift)
