The Opportunity Title Manager, Franchise Finance Reports to Director, Franchise Finance Main Responsibilities Manage and coordinate the external audit of multiple Licensing entities within the Mattel Inc group Review and approve monthly balance sheet reconciliations Various period-end close responsibilities Lead the representation of the Franchise finance team as part of a significant project to simplify the current entity structure Manage and develop a team of 1 direct report while coordinating audit activities across the larger organization This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fun team of experienced and talented individuals, within a fast-paced, high performing, global organization. What Your Impact Will Be Managing and coordinating the external audits will include, but is not limited to, conducting planning discussions and executing initial deliverables; holding weekly meetings with the external auditors to ensure alignment with the agreed timetable and to address any issues; coordinating audit requests within the Franchise Finance team across multiple office locations; review of individual statutory financial statements under UK GAAP; ensuring the timely completion and filing of signed financial statements. Lead the representation of the Franchise finance team as part of a significant project to simplify the current entity structure, including understanding and interpreting a complex structure which includes multiple intercompany complexities requires coordination and change across cross functional teams (i.e. Franchise finance, Tax, Legal, Business). Monthly balance sheet reconciliation review and approval across multiple entities and currencies, including royalty creditors, accruals and intercompany debtor/creditor balances. Period-end close responsibilities will include the review and approval of journals in Oracle, P&L and Balance Sheet reviews, as well as variance analysis in areas such as revenue, royalty costs and aged AR. Managing direct report to ensure their career progression, and contribution to the Company’s overall goals. Indirectly manage other individuals within the Franchise Finance team, in turn ensuring sufficient representation of this group within the Mattel UK office. Essential What We’re Looking For: ACA/ACCA qualified, with at least 3-4 years PQE Experience of working with external/internal auditors High level of attention to detail and ability to manage complex data Proficient in Microsoft Excel Desirable Experience of working with complex, multi entity structures Knowledge of UK GAAP and prior exposure to completing/reviewing statutory financial statements Previous user of Oracle Gold or Oracle Cloud financial system Able to effectively interpret and communicate financial information Strong management of relationships with various stakeholders across an organization Detail oriented and thorough Passionate about making an impact to Mattel’s journey and drive to grow our IP-driven toy business and expand our entertainment offering Who We Are Mattel is a leading global toy company and owner of one of the strongest catalogs of children’s and family entertainment franchises in the world.
