Job summary Greyfriars PICU is a ten bedded Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit which provides care for those people who require a period of increased supervision and intensive input as a result of acute mental health problems. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to work with and lead our team in continuing to move our acute services forward in line with National Minimum Standards. The role will have a specific focus on supporting the Unit Manager and developing/maintaining clinical standards for the service. Main duties of the job To provide clinical leadership to other staff within the team and act as a focal point for problem solving. To act as deputy to the ward manager, with responsibility of managing the ward, deploying, supervising and teaching staff. To participate with the development and provision of services, primarily of the clinical operational management and development of the nursing team.
