What is great about the role? As our Finance Director, you'll hold a pivotal position within our Finance and Governance Team. You'll lead and oversee various essential financial management functions across the Group. This role offers you the opportunity to be the strategic lead for all finance-related matters, shaping and delivering our financial strategy while fostering key relationships both within and outside the organisation. You'll have a wide scope of responsibilities, ensuring the smooth operation of financial activities and regulatory compliance while playing a crucial role in the success of the entire Pobl Group. Where does the role fit in? As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you'll directly contribute to the achievement of our organisational goals. Your leadership will drive positive change, shape strategic financial decisions, and ensure the highest standards of service delivery, innovation, and governance across the Group. You'll oversee financial operations, manage relationships with external stakeholders, and collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement strategies aligning with our Pobl ambitions. What skills and experience do you need? Skills and Attributes: We're seeking a strategic and clear thinker with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. You should be proactive, innovative, and possess excellent interpersonal skills to build and motivate talented teams and drive collaboration with the wider business. Financial acumen and strong communication abilities are essential. Knowledge: Stay updated with legislative frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry trends relevant to the role. Sound knowledge of accounting standards and an understanding of challenges facing our sectors are crucial. Experience: You should have a track record of senior strategic leadership within a large organisation, demonstrating the ability to build effective teams and partnerships, lead innovation and change, and devise and implement strategies, policies, and budgets. Qualifications: A degree and relevant professional qualification is required, along with evidence of continuous professional development. What are the pay and benefits? The salary for this role is £111,382 for a 37 hour, full time, permanent position Agile working with location flexibility. Your role will involve working throughout South Wales. 26 days holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays, rising to 30 days with length of service All other internal benefits will be available too What’s FREDIE?
