Regional Maintenance Person
40 hours per week - Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm

Castlemeadow Care is now recruiting to further increase the size of their Regional Maintenance department. The quality and appearance of our care homes and their grounds create the first impression for visitors and are a source of enjoyment and great pleasure for our residents and their families. Our Maintenance Teams take pride in maintaining our buildings and gardens to the highest possible standards. We own and operate care homes and assisted living units across Norfolk & Suffolk.
The Maintenance Person will ensure that the home, equipment, and gardens are maintained to a high standard and remain fully functional at all times, thereby ensuring the comfort, safety and wellbeing of the home’s residents, staff and visitors.
You will be involved in all types of property refurbishment and maintenance including painting & decorating, basic plumbing, like for like electrical work and tiling. The ideal person must be self-driven, able to meet deadlines, have the ability to problem solve and complete a wide variety of tasks on their own as well as part of a team.
In addition, the position will include:
* Ensuring the immediate reporting of irreparable defects to fixtures, fittings and equipment.
* Conducting regular checks and inspections in accordance with legal and regulatory compliance with support from your manager.
* Carrying out maintenance work on the home’s grounds, gardens and building externals to produce an aesthetically pleasing, well-maintained and safe environment.
* Ensuring that all tools and equipment are maintained and safely secured at all times.
* Ensuring that all work undertaken is with full consideration to the comfort, security and sensitivity of the residents.
You will need to hold a full clean driving license and be willing to use your own vehicle to travel to sites across Norfolk & Suffolk as required (mileage will be reimbursed).
