Regional Solicitor - Employment Law

£59,370 per annum
Our client, a trade union based in Sussex is recruiting for a Regional Solicitor to join their Legal Services team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the conduct of claims and litigation in the name of the union, and will represent individual members in tribunals and courts requiring specialist legal knowledge or expertise.
Responsibilities of the Regional Solicitor:
* Undertake the representation, including advocacy when appropriate, of individual members of the Union in the tribunals and courts, internal hearings and other procedures when required
* Undertake the representation, including advocacy when appropriate, of individual members of the Union at regulatory bodies
* Provide advice and support to colleagues on legal issues
* Contribute to the training of staff and members of the Union on legal issues
* Contribute in the preparation of a range of written documents and articles on legal issues affecting members
Experience required for the Regional Solicitor:
* Qualified Solicitor, or equivalent, with a minimum of two years' post qualification experience in employment law
* Ability and experience to contribute to and support delivery of training programmes
* Proven experience in handling employment law cases
