Job Title: Locum Dietitian Location: Cardiff Rate: £25-34 per hour Band: 6/7 Working Hours: 2 days per week Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff is seeking a qualified and experienced Dietitian with oncology expertise to join their team on a locum basis. This role is for 2 days per week, starting as soon as possible, and offers an exciting opportunity to provide specialized nutritional support to cancer patients. As a vital member of the clinical team, you will help patients manage nutritional challenges during cancer treatment, improving their health and quality of life. Responsibilities: As a Locum Dietitian, your key responsibilities will include assessing the nutritional needs of cancer patients, developing personalized nutrition plans, and offering advice on managing treatment side effects such as nausea, loss of appetite, and weight loss. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based nutrition support and ensure that patients receive the most effective care possible. Additionally, you will educate patients and staff on best practices for nutrition in oncology care, maintain accurate records, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the service. Qualifications and Experience: HCPC Registration as a Dietitian Extensive experience in oncology dietetics Expertise in providing nutrition support for cancer patients, including those undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload Previous experience in an NHS or cancer care setting is desirable Why work with Pulse?
