Joshua Robert are working with a well-established client that are working with quite a few local authorities and housing associations across the North East. Sunderland City Council are looking for a number of Prevention & Equipment Officers to join their team on a temporary basis (until at least July 25). As an Equipment Officer, you will support the business in delivering and demonstrating pieces of equipment to assessed customers, as well as assisting to carry out repairs when necessary and collect equipment when it is no longer needed. These can be anything from, wheelchairs, zimmer frames, portable toilets and walk-in showers, plus anything else that needs collecting. Predominantly the post holder will work Monday to Friday, but there will be occasions when they are required to assist at weekends. A willingness to drive vans is essential. The post will be based at ILC/Leechmere Centre An enhanced DBS must be completed however the successful candidate can start in the post without an active DBS providing an application is made if successful, the candidate can then start work whilst waiting for the DBS to be cleared. For this role it is essential that you have the following skills and attributes: Outstanding communication skills Excellent customer care The ability to work under pressure Full driving licence A positive caring outlook and enabling attitude Good IT and typing skills Have excellent written and communication skills Enjoy a challenge and be flexible in your approach to work Working week Monday - Friday (shifts to be confirmed) Could be until 8pm. 37 hours per week
