Pre-Construction Project Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled Pre-Construction Project Manager to join our Sizewell C team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineering professional to take on a key role in the project lifecycle, ensuring that client requirements are met while achieving best value and commercial delivery strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Examine Tender documentation and explore alternative design, specification, and methodology.
* Arrange Risk, Opportunities, and Value Engineering workshops and record outcomes.
* Attend client meetings and prepare presentations to convey our offering.
* Liaise with construction staff to feedback into the bid.
* Manage design proposals to meet customer requirements, including budget and time constraints.
* Review packages with estimators and suppliers to ensure compliance with works information.
* Lead the development and management of pre-construction and construction design deliverables programmes.
* Coordinate and produce design data, project deliverables, reports, and documentation during ECI/PCSA stage.
* Produce method-related temporary works schedules and technical supporting information required by the tender.
* Act as business lead throughout the tender period and post-tender negotiations.
* Provide phased handover to the Delivery Team.
* Undertake or arrange Conditions of Contract reviews and summarise key concerns.
* Lead/contribute to the development of systems and processes to improve the pre-construction function.
Requirements:
* Similar position held previously.
* Previous experience managing bidding processes within the Construction industry.
* Proven track record of leading bids for or on behalf of private and public clients.
* In-depth knowledge of best practice solutions and optimisation of innovative ideas.
* Extensive working knowledge of pricing and quantification methods.
* Experience of leading a team within the Construction Industry.
Qualifications:
* Membership of a relevant professional body and/or relevant professional qualification (e.g., RICS/CIOB/RIBA/ICE/CIBSE).
