We are looking for a Senior Supervisor to join our Wholesale Team in the Flexible Insurance Department. You will be involved in setting and delivering the supervisory strategy, as set out in our portfolio letters, for all wholesale insurance firms.
The role is high profile with a primary focus on the Lloyd’s and London Market (also known as the London Wholesale Market) but it may also involve delivery of some work across the Retail Insurance, Life Insurance and Funeral Plan sectors.
You will play an important role in keeping abreast of the changing market, the emerging risks for insurers, brokers and consumers and helping to shape, and deliver, our supervisory strategy for this complex sector.
What will you be doing?
1. Identifying and mitigating conduct and prudential risks in wholesale insurance firms and markets; escalating as and when appropriate
2. Leading on project work across the wholesale insurance portfolios
3. Devising the content and leading meetings with firms' senior executives; overseeing firm actions and mitigation programmes
4. Reviewing information provided by firms and other external sources to draw out and present key information
5. Using your experience, knowledge, and judgement to make risk-based decisions
6. Driving cases and work plans forward to meet milestones and SLAs
7. Keeping up to date on wholesale sector issues, risks, and news; using your insights to reduce harm
8. Developing supervisory strategies and projects and adapting to changing priorities
9. Supporting colleagues across the department in delivering on our wider insurance sector strategy

Minimum
1. Evidence of reviewing information and making judgements to decide the best way to deal with risks in firms and markets
2. Experience of working with the business models, firms, and risks in the Wholesale Insurance market
3. Experience of managing relationships with external and internal stakeholders
Essential
1. Experience of delivering through others and ensuring work and projects are progressed efficiently and at pace
2. Experience of summarising information and drawing out key points and presenting them clearly in writing
3. Experience of leading meetings with firms and other external stakeholders
4. You will be proactive and be able to work on your own initiative
5. Being willing to learn and develop, taking on new responsibilities and adopting a flexible pragmatic approach to your work
6. Practical experience of prudential and conduct regulation
7. Commitment to learning and development, willingness to take on new responsibilities and a flexible pragmatic approach to your work
