What you’ll do as a Project Controls Apprentice:
Project Controls is essential for the safe and successful execution of projects and business growth. It focuses on scheduling, planning, risk management, resource management, performance metrics, and change management. This role offers a unique insight into project execution monitoring and control, playing a key part in successful delivery. It provides the opportunity to develop a fundamental understanding of business performance and be an integral part of an Integrated Project Team to deliver successful projects.
The Leonardo Project Controls Apprenticeship is structured around placements across the business within the Project Controls Function (at Luton and Lincoln) over 3.5 years, designed to provide extensive experience and exposure to various operational contexts and practices. You will also undertake a Level 3 Project Controls Technician qualification, complemented by internal training on globally recognized tools and standards in Project Controls.
During your apprenticeship, you will:
* Enhance your understanding of an engineering business and the role of a Project Controller by participating in Functional and Integrated Project Teams.
* Develop key skills in Project Controls, understanding core processes, tools, and methodologies.
* Support early careers activities, including opportunities to serve as STEM ambassadors in schools, colleges, and universities.
What we need from you:
Qualifications
You must have (at minimum):
5 GCSEs grades 4-9 or A*-C (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
