You will like The Joinery Estimator job role itself where you will be part of our Joinery team, collaborating with a skilled group of craftspeople, you’ll have the opportunity to create stunning panelling, doors, windows and bespoke furniture, all made with a genuine passion for our clients who own luxury homes. You will be responsible for creating and submitting accurate, detailed costings and tender documents for high-end residential joinery projects to £1M More specifically: You’ll meet or contact Architects, site teams and clients throughout the course of pre, live and post tender negotiations. You’ll review tender drawings, produce a cutting list, ironmongery schedule and apply CAD drawing, machine, manufacturing, finishing and installation hours to form an accurate detailed estimate. You’ll gather external quotes for specialist items- glazing and ironmongery, You’ll completing quantity take off’s as required and completing schedules of work, or bills of quantities if applicable. You’ll write clear and precise communications which might include detailed and complex figures, calculations, and specific joinery information. You will have To be successful as Joinery Estimator, we are looking for an experienced estimator with detailed knowledge of bespoke joinery manufacturing processes and ideally with experience of working within heritage/restoration sector. Plus a healthy mix of the following: City & Guilds/ NVQ qualifications in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent. Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Detailed knowledge of bespoke joinery manufacturing and processes, including the use of multiple and complex materials that are used within high-end joinery fitouts. Good understanding of traditional building methods and products associated with the refurbishment of listed buildings and high-end residential construction. Confident in dealing directly with Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Clients and Subcontractors.
