Our client manufacturers and supplies high performance roof coatings and coatings for corrosion control. Due to further expansion, they are seeking a Chemist to provide Technical Support to customers, advising of products and working closely with the development team to produce bespoke coatings. Responsibilities: Onsite product demonstrations and problem solving at existing and prospective accounts in the UK and overseas. Regular, routine visits to existing accounts for process auditing and optimisation. Confidently promote products through presentations and demonstrations at customer sites. Support in identifying and developing new opportunities for both existing and new products in-line with business growth strategies. Work closely with the development team to generate bespoke products for customers. Work with the sales team to identify potential target accounts. Attend exhibitions and trade shows. Handling of product quality complaints Creation and control of technical datasheets Writing of technical articles and product PR in collaboration with marketing department Technical content creation for blog, brochures, distributor website etc. supporting marketing activities When not visiting customers, you will be based at the UK manufacturing site in the Midlands. Candidate Profile: Experience gained within a technical environment, ideally with a finished product line such as coatings, adhesives or paints would be ideal. Positive and inquisitive by nature, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills plus sound technical acumen. Able to work and communicate effectively across all levels of an organisation. Methodically minded, able to work efficiently under pressure, able to work independently, multi-task and prioritise workload. Willingness to take ownership and initiate change, ensuring meaningful actions are completed. Excellent communication skills, fluent written and spoken English. Confident presenter of technical information and able to demonstrate products. Good technical background and interest in Chemistry. Full UK driving licence.
