Outlook is looking for inspirational youth centred leaders to join our pool of experienced freelance staff to lead Expeditions worldwide for durations between 7 and 30 days. We have a few remaining opportunities to lead for us in 2025 and are particularly interested in hearing from applicants who have experience working at altitudes above 2500m and Open Water Diving qualifications and experience.
As an Outlook Expedition Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe, effective, and youth centred delivery of the Outlook Programme for a specific Expedition team of between 10 – 21 students and their accompanying school leaders in one of many exciting overseas locations worldwide. This includes delivering key milestone events during the UK Leadership Phase and the full duration of the overseas travel element.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Qualifications - Essential
1. Mountain Leader Summer Award* (minimum)
2. Current Outdoor 16 – hour first aid qualification
Qualifications - Desirable
We are also particularly interested in hearing from people with a broad range of other outdoor qualifications including water based, mountain biking, caving, climbing, etc. in line with our varied itineraries.
*We do have occasional opportunities for those working towards their Mountain Leader Summer award, so get in touch if you’re interested/unsure.
Travel Experience
A good level of independent or group, developing world travel experience - the wilder the better!
Interpersonal & Facilitation Skills
1. Experience and a passion for leading and mentoring young people in outdoor/adventurous environments
2. Proactive by nature and able to collaborate with different stakeholders, including school leaders

Can demonstrate a sense of responsibility and care towards our planet and inspire our teams to follow in your footsteps.
