We're seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to help manage, maintain, and improve an expanding AWS environment. This onsite role is with a company in the creative industry, located near Warrington, offering a competitive salary between £45k and £55k.
Responsibilities:
* Support, maintain, and enhance the cloud environment, ensuring optimal performance and security
* Ensure systems comply with security standards and best practices
* Monitor and manage the cloud network, addressing security risks and implementing improvements
* Configure and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and load-balanced web servers
* Facilitate secure data transfers and design optimal cloud configurations
* Mentor junior engineers and document all cloud systems for transparency
* Maintain software licensing compliance and act as the point of contact for associated digital businesses
* Travel to the London office monthly to support onsite staff
Strong Knowledge and Experience in Managing:
* Advising on and building AWS solutions from concept to production
* Patching, access management, and account creation for AWS environments
* Day-to-day management of alerts and actioning them as necessary
* Collaborating with external SOC to maintain security across AWS environments
* Monitoring and controlling AWS costs
* Comprehensive understanding of Security Groups, NACLs, Subnets, VPC, WAF, ALBs/NLBs, and flow logs
* Strong grasp of the benefits and drawbacks of cloud computing and cloud models
* Key AWS Services – Expertise in Ec2, RDS, IAM, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, ECS, S3, CloudFront, Control Tower, and networking
Preferred Qualifications and Knowledge
* AWS Certifications: Cloud Practitioner (Foundational), Solutions Architect (Associate), SysOps Administrator (Associate)
* Experience with cybersecurity solutions, including Cyber Essentials+
* Knowledge of Azure cloud platforms
* Familiarity with security standards such as ISO27001
* Relevant network/server certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Server+)
