We are looking for a senior experienced dynamic midwife to join the team as a Matron for Maternity Services. We need someone who possesses strong clinical leadership with excellent communication and networking skills.
You need to be self motivated, enthusiastic and have a drive for continuous improvement in maternity safety and experience. You will have responsibility to provide cost effective clinical services within midwifery and work collaboratively within the division.
To provide clinical and professional midwifery leadership and accountability for the following clinical areas:
• Central Delivery Suite
• Brancaster Ward
• Maternity Triage

You will lead and facilitate the development of efficient, effective and patient focused services for women and children receiving care within the division. Through strong clinical leadership you will support the teams to promote excellence in nursing and midwifery care to maintain and improve clinical standards.
The role provides leadership and operational accountability for the inpatient areas of maternity with in the Women's' & Children's' Division, working with the Leadership team to meet the requirements of the NHSE Maternity and Neonatal Single Delivery Plan (2023) and the Maternity Incentive Scheme (CNST).
You will ensure that all patients are treated with compassion, dignity and respect placing value on the diversity of the local community and beyond. Partnership working is a priority in supporting the delivery of a seamless and integrated service. Patient experience is a key responsibility of the role to ensure that care is delivered to the highest quality inspiring patient and public confidence. This will be achieved through high visibility, effective communication, accessibility and surveillance.
At all times, you will work in accordance with the principles governed by the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) and Trust Policies/Values. Acting with professionalism and integrity, you will be a role model to those around us and ensuring everyone has an equal opportunity.
The role requires on call participation.
