Person specification Qualifications Essential criteria • Registered with the GMC with a licence to practise • MB ChB or equivalent • MRCP or equivalent Desirable criteria • MD or PhD Clinical Experience Essential criteria • Broad Training in general Cardiology • ST6-ST8 Level or equivalent Desirable criteria • Interest and experience in a specialist area: eg Inherited cardiac conditions / Heart muscle disease/ Imaging / device Research Essential criteria • Ability to critically assess published research and incorporate it into clinical practice where appropriate • Basic understanding of research methods and statistics Desirable criteria • Publications in Peer reviewed journals.
