The engineering function, supporting business growth and change through strong project management, development of continuous improvement and lean ways of working, and effective delivery of maintenance solutions in a timely manner.
We have three roles available at INW Bee Health
1. Two new permanent positions working a rotating Monday to Friday shift:
* Week 1 Lates - 14:00 to 22:00, 40 hours per week
* Week 2 Nights - 22:00 to 06:00, 40 hours per week
* Salary £46,000 pa - Electrical qualification essential
2. An electrical engineer on our 4 on 4 off day shift:
* 06:00 to 18:00 days only
* Salary £47,840 pa - Electrical qualification essential
Roles & Responsibilities as the Engineer:
Assume responsibility for the mechanical and electrical integrity of equipment by carrying out the following:
* effective planned maintenance inspections as per plan, reviewing frequencies, parts used, failure rates, overhaul, and repair of plant with engineering colleagues.
* complete stores requisitions for parts.
* continually monitor plant conditions and report defects.
* act as the team champions of good engineering standards.
* carry out safety checks on equipment in line with legislation and best practice.
* use of the Permit to Work (PTW) system.
* site contact for contractors.
* Ensure operational key information is effectively communicated to colleagues and other shift teams during the shift handover process.
* Complete any relevant documentation on time and in full. E.g., completion of works orders paying attention to detail.
* Take personal responsibility for Health & Safety.
* Minimise waste and re-cycle all product effectively.
* Help to generate and maintain compliance to SOP’s and Risk Assessments. Carry out work in a standardised way
* Report plant performance using appropriate company systems and ensure action on/communication of non-conformance issues.
* Carry out duties and tasks across the factory as deemed necessary and suitable to reduce idle time.
* Deliver a consistent and improving plant reliability through the effective management and monitoring of downtime, PPM conformance, engineering planning and elements of the engineering budget.
* Report and present all performance matters routinely, including trends and breakdown/fault data
Qualifications
* Formal engineering qualification to at least NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a mechanical and electrical discipline with corresponding practical experience (essential).
* 18th Edition wiring regs or equivalent electrical qualification (essential)
* Train the trainer course (desirable)
