The Opportunity
As a Technical Resolution Lead, you’ll oversee equipment-related issues such as qualification, maintenance, and cross-functional challenges at HPC, ensuring the project maintains its high technical standards.
You'll be a key member of the Technical Branch within the Joint Design Office (JDO), working within a team dedicated to resolving critical emergent design issues spanning multiple work areas. This role provides exposure to a diverse range of project topics, with a broad mandate to address technical challenges and strengthen the resilience of the JDO by mitigating key engineering risk.
What you’ll be doing
1. You’ll work closely with the Mechanical Technical Manager to oversee and approve Nuclear Safety Category 3 changes while leading joint task forces for Nuclear Safety Category 2 changes.
2. You’ll be responsible for driving performance and ensuring timely delivery by proactively engaging with stakeholders.
3. You’ll also contribute to meetings as required and mentor members of the JDO Operational team, supporting their development and enhancing overall team capability.

You’ll be confident in resolving straightforward technical issues within your area of expertise and will have strong problem-solving skills, supported by experience in stakeholder management. Proficiency in Microsoft software is essential.
A degree in engineering or a related science discipline is required, and chartership with a relevant body is desirable. While no specific engineering discipline is necessary, design or project experience would be advantageous. Additionally, an understanding of mechanical and equipment interfaces will be beneficial in this role.
