Job Title: Goods In/Out Quality Inspector
Position Summary: The Best Connection are currently searching for Goods In/Out Quality Inspector in Rossendale. They will ensure that all incoming and outgoing goods meet quality standards. The inspector will collaborate closely with the warehouse and production teams to ensure smooth operations and compliance with industry standards, ensuring all customer-specific and traceability requirements are met.
Hours:
* 0800-1645 Monday to Thursday
* 0800-1230 Friday
* 37.5 hours per week, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch
Pay:
* £25,000-£30,000 per year, which works out at £12.82 - £15.38 per hour.
This salary/hourly rate depends on your individual experience and referenceable work history
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Inspect incoming and outgoing goods, verifying the quality and quantity of shipments
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, including defects or discrepancies
* Conduct random spot checks on goods to ensure ongoing compliance
* Inspect raw materials and wire to ensure they meet quality specifications
* Conduct testing using various measurement tools and techniques
* Identify areas for improvement in the inspection process and implement new methods
* Generate Quality Alerts for any quality issues
* Create and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCR)
* Report findings and recommendations to the warehouse and production teams
* Segregate and quarantine non-conforming products
* Attend production and quality meetings to discuss inspection results
* Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
* Adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental duties
Person Specification:

* Maintains clear communication with internal customers
* Uses available information to aid problem solving
* Adapts ideas based on new information or evidence
* Delivers agreed objectives and responds positively to unforeseen events
* Conducts root cause analysis and applies lessons learned

Experience and Qualifications:
* Good standard of Maths, English, and Science (GCSE Grade C or above / equivalent)
* PC literate, with good use of Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other software packages
* Close attention to detail
* Ability to prioritize tasks and manage own workload
* Good communication and problem-solving skills
* Understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances (desirable)
* Experience using measurement software and equipment (desirable)
