At Honda, we embrace inclusion in our policies. While our contracts state that hours are as required to fulfill the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility in when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half-hour lunch break, and 08:00 – 13:00 on Friday. We also provide flexible start times between 07:00 and 11:00, depending on business needs.
Although there is no contractual right to work from home, employees may request to work remotely 2 days per week, subject to business requirements.
Role
Honda is embracing digital technology to transform our business across all product lines. We need to ensure that our business agility is supported by a robust security governance framework to protect Honda’s and our customers’ data.
As a member of the regional IT security team, reporting to the Head of Security and Networking, you will oversee and coordinate IT security operations across all locations in Europe, including sales, logistics, manufacturing, and R&D entities.
Your responsibilities include addressing IT security risks, proposing policy updates, performing risk assessments, advising staff, and working closely with Honda’s global security team in Japan.
Main Responsibilities
* Coordinate security operations with providers and IT staff.
* Manage threat and vulnerability assessments, risks, and treatment plans.
* Handle security incident detection, response, and reporting.
* Monitor and report on security controls.
* Recommend and implement security controls to meet policies and compliance requirements.
* Ensure adherence to security policies and provide guidance on security matters.
* Develop security roadmaps and stay updated on security technologies.
* Conduct security awareness and training initiatives.
KPIs
* Compliance with security regulations and policies.
* Number and severity of security incidents.
* Response times to security incidents.
* Accuracy of threat analysis.
* Effectiveness of vulnerability remediation.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or significant experience in IT/security, preferably internationally.
* Information security certification such as CISMP is preferred.
* Knowledge of security technologies like access control, vulnerability management, data loss prevention, web security, anti-malware, IDS/IPS, networks, and system administration.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
* Risk-based prioritization skills.
* Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Desirable Skills
* Willingness to travel within Europe.
* Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements like SOX, HIPAA, GDPR, J-SOX.
* Understanding of OS internals and network protocols.
* Experience in security testing, project management, and security controls analysis.
