Job Overview
We are at a pivotal point in our tech progression. We're looking to grow the technical estate, replace existing systems with new and scale and develop the platform. It's an exciting time to join the team in this captivating period.
The role of Technical Security Engineer at Partnerize is to consult, design, plan and carry out technical governance on complex multi-technology/platforms acting as the conduit between Technical Operations and Security and Compliance.
The Technical Security Engineer will act as the technical security lead working closely with the Director of Technical Operations to identify risks and in turn support the department with mitigation plans. They will ensure they lead on any security escalations to ensure standards and quality are met throughout the lifecycle.

We're looking for a mix of technical generalists and specialists, with a passion for security. For us, it's more about the person and the character than the role. We need people that will get excited about taking us to the next stage of our evolution helping us with their specific skills and experience but learning new ones along the way.
As a Technical Security Engineer at Partnerize, You Will:
* Work collaboratively with Security, TechOps, Engineering and any other department as required.
* Support the completion of RFI and RFP as requested by our clients.
* Triaging and management of Technical Security tickets - applying the ITIL principles.
* Reviewing permission requests for our internal users, ensuring the security of our system.
* Ensuring we adhere to vulnerability recommendations and we are taking the actions needed to remediate any risks.
* Supporting on external audits, internal Vulnerability Assessments and Penetration Tests.
* Assist the Technical Operations department with monitoring of the organisation's networks and systems for security breaches and intrusions.
* Assist security with any requests they receive for example - Phishing, Email, Antivirus notification, pentest remediation etc.
* Aiding with the assessment and approval of new and current vendors.
* Carrying out projects when and where required - for example antivirus roll out, permissions matrix review, vulnerability remediation etc.
* Creation of technical and process documentation as and when required.
* Supporting / reviewing High Level Design Documentation.
* Proactively question and evaluate existing systems, standards, documentation and procedures and make recommendations for improvement.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Quality focused with excellent attention to detail
* Good communication skills, comfortable communicating, both internally and externally
* Experience providing technical leadership on large multi-technology projects
* Skills and knowledge in multiple technology areas
* Knowledge in managing on-prem solutions
* Knowledge as part of a team maintaining a live production infrastructure.
* The ability to spot and diagnose problems, identifying areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks
* Ability to prioritise workload including occasional Incidents and RCA's
* Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and solve issues independently
* Ability to manage your own time, prioritise workload and take ownership of tasks
* Ability to develop and build relationships with a range of stakeholders.
* Continually look for opportunities for self-improvement and innovation.
* Self-learner, ability to document learning as experience is gained.
* Knowledge of and experience with the ITIL practices.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Knowledge with monitoring systems (Zabbix)
* Experience of JIRA and Confluence
* Elasticsearch technologies - especially Kibana
* Knowledge of Google Workspace, JAMF, InTune, Tenable.io, Sophos Endpoint Protection, Wazuh, Tenable/Nessus, SIEM Tooling.
* Knowledge of security management principles
* An interest in development, new technologies and innovation.
