The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Nurse to join our team here at Rufford Veterinary Group! We are looking for a positive, empathetic, self-motivated and proactive team player who wants to complement our team, who has an interest in inpatient care, surgery, dentistry, x-rays, clinics, client communications, and the general day-to-day running of small animal practice. You will see a good and varied caseload which will encourage you to utilise the skill set you have acquired along your career path thus far. We, in return, encourage you to develop these skills further by supporting you with CPD funding for certificates in areas of interest and mutual benefit. No 2 days are the same!
The Rota:
A varied rota of 40 hours for full-time with a 1:5 weekend, good work-life balance. Salary of up to £27,500 depending on experience.
About Us
We are a small animal first opinion practice located in a rural setting. We have digital x-rays, modern ultrasound/ECG machine, multi-parameter, ultrasonic dental machine, and endoscope. Many modern equipment sources to assist with inpatient care.
The teams have taken part in tough mudder and three peak challenges over the years and are a social bunch with a varying age range and varying levels of experience from 20 years+ to just qualified. We support our local schools by doing presentations/school visits.
A positive mental attitude towards supporting student nurses in their progression is essential. Clinical coaching is desirable or an interest in becoming one. A willingness to participate in nurse clinic roles, with the opportunity to lead in this area. A team of nursing staff consisting of RVNs/SVNs/VCAs/AUX staff. VN staff hold ECC cert/VNES Cert/NCert AnBeh/Dermatology. RVNs are encouraged to improve in their area of interest and implement their skills in practice. Many more of our surgeons are currently undertaking certificates in surgery and medicine. Surgeons also have interests in exotics, dermatology, cardiology, acupuncture, and orthopaedic work.
