White Horse Employment is delighted to be working exclusively with a rapidly expanding company based in the Bath area. They are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented finance professional to join their finance team. This is a newly created role that offers exposure to a wide range of transactional finance tasks, reporting directly to the Financial Controller.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and manage customer accounts, ensuring payments are received on time and accounts are accurately reconciled.
* Address invoice and delivery queries, provide supporting documentation, and process phone payments when required.
* Follow up on outstanding debt via phone and email, issuing credit notes where appropriate.
* Set up structured customer payment plans in line with company policies and prepare legal files if necessary.
* Handle and distribute departmental and director’s post, ensuring invoices are processed and approved efficiently.
* Manage BACS payment runs, process payments, and send remittance advices.
* Complete daily bank reconciliations, verify expenses, and support financial reporting and data analysis.
* Assist with general administrative duties, oversee petty cash, and liaise with other teams to support financial operations.
What We’re Looking For:
* A degree or AAT qualification (Level 4).
* Proficiency in IT systems and strong communication skills.
* Exceptional organisational skills and an analytical mindset with great attention to detail.
* A keen interest in pursuing an Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
