What You’ll Be Doing Leading and managing the provision for students with SEN, ensuring that individual needs are met effectively across the school. Collaborating with teachers to provide differentiated teaching strategies and develop tailored learning plans that support the progress of students with SEN. Ensuring the school meets its statutory duties for students with SEN, including managing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and SEN assessments. Providing advice, support, and training to staff on effective SEN practices, helping them create an inclusive classroom environment. Liaising with external professionals, agencies, and parents to ensure the holistic development of students with additional needs. Monitoring the progress of students with SEN, tracking their achievements, and implementing interventions as necessary to ensure all children succeed. Championing the inclusion agenda, ensuring all children are valued and supported in a way that meets their individual needs. What We’re Looking For A qualified teacher with QTS and SENCo qualification (or equivalent) with a passion for special educational needs. Experience working as a SENCo, or in a similar leadership role, with a strong understanding of SEN policies and practices. Knowledge of EHCPs, SEN legislation, and experience in managing SEN assessments and planning interventions. A strong understanding of different SEN needs, including autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and physical disabilities. The ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to provide the best support for students. A compassionate and proactive approach to supporting children with SEN and a commitment to providing a high-quality education for all.
