What you'll do As the Assistant Manager of Financial Control at Sainsbury's Bank, you will play a crucial role in designing and managing the financial close process for specific products and services, overseeing balance sheet substantiation, reconciliation controls, and journal preparation. You will be responsible for supporting the preparation of monthly reporting, producing management information and analysis for management accounts and external stakeholders, as well as contributing to the Bank's regulatory and statistical reporting requirements. Additionally, you will be involved in implementing financial processes and controls to support business change initiatives, supporting the external audit process, and driving process improvements within the team to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Your strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders will be essential in this role. Who you are As an Assistant Manager in Financial Control at Sainsbury's Bank, you are a qualified or part-qualified accountant with a wealth of experience in finance operations, reporting, and controls, gained either in industry or practise. Your exposure to change activities and strong analytical skills equip you to design and manage financial processes and controls for specific products and services, ensuring accurate balance sheet substantiation and reconciliation controls. With a keen eye for detail, exceptional PC skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure, you play a key role in supporting the Bank's financial close process, monthly reporting, and regulatory compliance, while collaborating closely with stakeholders to deliver results and drive process improvements within the team.
