Job Description
As a Product Manager this role involves being at the forefront of delivering the right capabilities to support the UK’s Defence strategy. You are expected to own the life cycle of your product, ensuring it aligns with Defence priorities and delivers maximum operational value.
Your responsibilities will include ensuring your team understand and execute tasks of the highest priority, optimising resources to maximise their impact, and collaborating directly with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
In this role you will also mentor and coach junior project managers, supporting their development and building expertise across the organisation. With potential oversight of complex products, you will play a key role in delivering advanced mission-critical outcomes that strengthen the UK’s Defence capabilities. You might be required to assist with various projects and may, given the dynamic nature of the work, occasionally receive additional assignments in line with the Programme’s agile resourcing and delivery strategy.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure benefits are identified, understood, measured, tracked, and owned.
* Coordinate delivery against business cases and emergent user requirements.
* Manage delivery within performance, cost, and time-frame envelopes.
* Identify and monitor risks and issues and develop mitigating actions and escalate as appropriate.

* Implement effective change management processes to ensure that any changes to deliverables are agreed upon and documented.
Person specification
We are seeking a Product Manager who combines experience and enthusiasm with a high level of motivation to join our team. You would be working with diverse, multi-disciplinary teams to understand user needs, define product vision and deliver services that truly make a difference.
We’re looking for someone with a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-stakes agile environment. We will rely on you to share your understanding of product management practices and innovative ideas to drive Defence Digital products forward. You would schedule and manage resources to deliver the product, either working independently or within a small team.

Hybrid Working
