We are seeking a skilled Biomass Engineer to join our Facilities Management team in Glasgow. You will play a critical role in the operation, maintenance, and servicing of biomass heating systems across various sites. Salary: Competitive (up to £45,000 depending on experience)
Employment type: Full-time, permanent, Monday-Friday
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on biomass boilers, heating systems, and associated plant equipment.
You will be responsible for fault diagnosis, identifying and resolving mechanical and electrical faults efficiently to ensure system reliability and performance.
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards and industry regulations is essential, as is regularly monitoring systems, recording operational data, and producing maintenance reports.
Clear communication with clients and colleagues will be required to maintain excellent service delivery.Requirments:
We are looking for candidates with proven experience in maintaining and servicing biomass boilers or similar renewable energy systems.
Applicants should hold an NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, or Heating Systems (or equivalent) and possess strong diagnostic skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
A solid understanding of building services regulations, health and safety, and environmental standards is required.
A full UK driving licence is essential, as travel between sites may be necessary.Desirable:
It would be advantageous to hold biomass-specific qualifications such as HETAS or OFTEC and have experience working in a Facilities Management environment.
Knowledge of other renewable energy systems, including heat pumps or solar technologies, is also desirable.Benefits:
