Job summary The post holder will be responsible for providing strategic leadership for the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Medical Education Teams, Library/Clinical Librarian Services and Operations team to ensure that performance objectives are met. The Head of Medical Education Management will have responsibility for the promotion, monitoring and continuous improvement of the quality of Postgraduate and Undergraduate Medical Education within UHL. The post holder will deputise for the Director of Clinical Education at UHL and external meetings and committees. The post holder will lead on the provision of faculty development for senior clinicians within UHL. Main duties of the job To have overall responsibility for budget setting and monitoring of financial performance for the Postgraduate Education Centres, Libraries and other designated cost centres ( 10 cost centres- £1.85m) To agree annual cost improvement plans ( c£280k) with budget holders To have overall line management responsibility for Undergraduate and Postgraduate medical Education, Library/Clinical Librarian Services and Operations team in Clinical Education.
