If you take up this role of Electrical Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our pumping stations, reservoirs, and treatment sites functioning properly to provide clean water to our customers. Reliable access to clean drinking water is crucial for our communities. You’ll need to have achieved at least a Level 3 NVQ Diploma Electrical qualification. You’re a skilled electrician that has gained skills from a background in either domestic, industrial or commercial work. Your expertise will be developed and used to maintain and install electrical systems and equipment such as control panels, pumps, motors, water quality analysers, and chemical dosing equipment. Additionally, you’ll respond to breakdowns, oversee the work of contractors, and perform necessary repairs and enhancements. It's 37 hours working week which is usually 7.30 a.m. to 15.30 p.m., Monday to Friday. We are an essential service which means we’ll need you to participate in 1 out of every 5 standby shifts to promptly address incidents outside of regular working hours and on weekends. As a skilled electrical maintenance person, you’ll can expect a generous base salary within the range of £40,000 to £46,043, in line with your level of experience and our salary progression structure. Additionally, a yearly allowance averaging £2,000 is provided for participation in the standby rota. Furthermore, overtime pay is offered for any call outs while on standby duty. Repair, maintain and install Electrical plant and water treatment related equipment including several types of control panels, pumps, motors, chemical dosing equipment and water quality analysers to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of our production works and operational sites. Take part in a standby roster providing out of hours assistance to the operational area. Collaborate with other members of the Production team with Confined Space Entries. Supervise the work of Contractors and external service providers. Accurate recording keeping linked to reactive and planned maintenance work. Ensure business systems and work management systems are kept up to date. Work in line with company policies, procedures, and safe systems of work. Help to complete administration (e.g., timesheets, health and safety forms, vehicle record sheets etc.) Help to monitor and maintain security of production site. Update and maintain site operating manuals. Issue Permits to Work where required. Contribute and assist with engineering capital works as and when required. What do you bring to the role? You are electrically qualified to at least Level 3 NVQ Diploma or equivalent (e.g. HNC, apprenticeship etc). Previous experience within an industrial, commercial or domestic position is a plus. Ability to fault find and problem-solving electrical equipment. Highly organised individual with the ability to work under your own direction. Confident using IT and computers to be able to update records and reports. Hold a clean driver’s licence. What can you expect from us?
