RATE: £25-£35/hr PAYE Possibility of £40-45 outside IR35 QUANTITY SURVEYOR We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join the Council's Building Services Department. Be part of impactful projects, including housing, new builds, schools, and refurbishment schemes, all aimed at improving the local community. Key Responsibilities: Manage quantity surveying functions for a variety of construction projects. Coordinate procurement of construction contracts using NEC and JCT forms of contract. Prepare budget estimates, cost analyses, tender documentation, and specifications of works. Handle tender queries, evaluations, interim valuations, payments, and financial control of contracts. Deliver cost reports, prepare final accounts, and maintain records for audit purposes. Support schemes such as Renewal Areas capital works, private sector housing repair/improvement grants, disabled facilities grants, and tenant housing adaptations. What Were Looking For: Strong experience in quantity surveying across diverse construction projects. Expertise in preparing and managing contract documentation. Excellent analytical and financial control skills. Familiarity with NEC and JCT contracts is essential. A detail-oriented, organized, and proactive approach.
