Mansell Recruitment Group is seeking a skilled engineer to fill a multifunctional role in the Aerospace sector. The ideal candidate will have experience in design, build/assembly/fabrication, and maintenance. Key responsibilities include providing technical assistance, assisting with training, and fabricating/assembling equipment.
* Design (10%): Desk-based work using CAD software to create drawings for manufacture. Strong analytical skills are required to gather information and interpret data.
* Build/Assembly/Fabrication (30%): Fabrication of light components, assembling parts, and achieving end products. Proficiency in working with various materials and tools is essential.
* Maintenance (60%): Planned maintenance, servicing, and overhauling components, as well as reactive maintenance to identify and resolve faults. Regular checks and inspections are necessary to ensure optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical support to MRO departments regarding test equipment.
* Collaborate with a small team to organize projects and cover tasks during independent working periods.
* Assist with training technicians on new equipment and systems.
* Conduct fault-finding procedures on Pneumatic & Hydraulic test rigs.
* Fabricate/Assemble equipment designed by the Engineering department for the workshop.
* Support the creation and management of programs.
* Ability to interpret CAD drawings for building and assembly.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or equivalent experience in an engineering role.
* A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a technical role.
* Previous experience working in a workshop environment.
Compensation:The estimated annual salary for this position is £45,000 - £55,000, depending on experience. This compensation package reflects the importance of this role and the company's commitment to investing in its employees.
