We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our team in creating culinary delights for our clients in education.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping cook freshly made high quality meals and be a keen team member.
Term-time only, with exception to summer schools.
Responsibilities / skills :
- Prepare and cook Breakfast & Break meals, assist Head Chef with lunch prep.
- Maintain the high standards of hygiene and food health and safety
* Ensure that methods of preparation and presentation comply with current recognised catering standards and food safety legislation
* Check deliveries and ensure all raw and cooked food is stored correctly
* Ensure all Catering Assistants carry out the preparation and cooking of all meals to the recipe specifications and nutritional guidelines
* Ensure all catering staff adhere to the portion standard yields as stated within the recipe specification and required by the school
* Help implement local promotions/theme days, as required
* Assist with stock control and rotation of stock
- Maintain regular contact with the Head Chef
- Assist with the induction of all new members of the catering staff
