As Sales Manager you will be responsible for driving the sales of the laboratory consumables we manufacture such as inoculation loops & spreaders, pipettes, sample bottles, culture media and laboratory bags
These products are manufactured at our production facility in Bromborough. Our ability to manufacture products means we are well placed for innovative initiatives responding to clients requests and we can adapt products to suit individual needs.
Your primary goal will be to increase product adoption and revenue by building strong relationships with new accounts, including distributors, research labs, hospitals, universities, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. You will need a strong understanding of lab workflows and the needs of laboratory personnel to offer tailored solutions and grow market share.
Responsibilities:
• Sales Strategy & Planning:
• Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets
• Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and sales channels.
• Customer Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts and customers.
• Conduct regular meetings, product demonstrations, and training sessions to promote new products or solutions.
• Understand the unique needs of each customer and propose relevant products.
• Product Knowledge:
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of all lab consumable products and their applications.
• Stay informed about competitors’ products and industry trends to identify opportunities for product differentiation.
• Sales & Account Management:
• Manage and grow a portfolio of customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Use CRM software to track sales activities, opportunities, and customer feedback.
• Collaboration & Reporting:
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
• Provide regular sales reports and updates to management on sales performance, market trends, and challenges.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in sales in the life sciences industry.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory consumables and their applications.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with laboratory workflows and customer needs in research, academic, or clinical lab settings.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to close deals effectively.
• Prior experience in developing long-term sales strategies.
