We are looking to recruit a Management Accountant to work within the finance team and closely with the Senior Management Team. This is an extremely hands-on role and requires an individual who can add value to the department/company, ideally from an SME background.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Producing month-end accounting pack
2. Balance sheet reconciliations
3. Pre-payments and accruals
4. Cashflow management
5. VAT returns
6. Fixed assets
7. Intercompany accounts including intercompany reconciliations
8. Invoicing and bank reconciliation
9. Any other duties & responsibilities reasonably required for the accounts department
10. Report to External Accountants and Advisors
11. Work-In Progress Assessments and Forecasting
12. Budgets and Variance Analysis
13. Wider input into business as a Senior Manager / Leader
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience
1. Have relevant experience in a similar role
2. AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA
3. Previous experience of working within the construction industry desirable
4. Have a comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation relating to finance management and business systems
5. Sage 50 experience desirable
6. Excellent analytical and reasoning skills
7. Have strong interpersonal skills and be able to develop and support others
8. Be able to adapt to change, problem solve and keep a 'can do' attitude
Working hours: 8-4:30 (4 on Friday)
