We are seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join an automotive based manufacturing company located in the heart of Llanelli, South Wales. This role offers an annual salary up to £30,000 per annum (dependant on experience) and the working hours are day shifts Monday to Friday (37 hours per week). The hiring manager is looking for someone who has previous experience working with Engines (Automotive, Off-Highway, HGV, LGV etc), and someone who is competent with Microsoft Office Packages. This would be a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion in Motorsports, a qualification or degree in Motorsport Engineering or Automotive Engineering would be highly advantageous, this role would suit someone who previous experience working with Car Engines either in a workshop environment, or someone that does this as a Hobby in their spare time. What You Will Do: Engage in the precise assembly and disassembly of internal combustion engines. Interpret engineering drawings accurately to ensure flawless implementation. Utilize hand and power tools, including spanners and torque wrenches, in daily tasks. Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. Conduct tests using mechanical and electronic equipment, analyse data, and report on project progress. Provide feedback on diagnostic applications and help validate software and hardware before OEM releases. What You Will Bring: Proven experience with engine mechanics, ideally in a professional setting. Strong mechanical background with experience using both hand and power tools. Knowledge of technical and electrical experience is essential. Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis effectively. A degree or qualifications in Motorsport Engineering or Automotive Engineering would be highly advantageous. Full UK Driving License - Preferred but not essential.
