HSQE Manager – Demolition & Enabling Works A leading demolition and enabling works contractor is seeking an experienced HSQE Manager to oversee health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance across multiple projects. This role reports directly to the HSQE Director and is responsible for implementing best practices, ensuring compliance with legislation, and fostering a strong safety culture across the business. Key Responsibilities: Assist in developing and implementing HSQE policies, procedures, and management systems. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards. Provide expert HSQE advice to project teams, site managers, and senior management. Lead incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented. Deliver HSQE training and toolbox talks to site teams and employees. Ensure the business adheres to relevant legislation and industry regulations, including CDM, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. Monitor and report on HSQE performance, identifying areas for continuous improvement. Engage with external bodies, including HSE, clients, and subcontractors, to promote best practices. Support in the preparation and review of risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and other safety documentation. Contribute to sustainability initiatives and environmental management strategies. What We’re Looking For: Strong background in health, safety, quality, and environmental management within demolition, enabling works, or construction. NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate (Diploma preferred). TechIOSH or higher (GradIOSH/CMIOSH advantageous). Experience working with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) and audit processes. Knowledge of CDM regulations and demolition-specific safety requirements. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence site teams and senior management. Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to risk management and incident prevention. IT proficiency, including experience with safety management systems.
