Business Support Assistant needed in Wrexham, £12.18ph PAYE - Reference: RQ1478017
Responsibilities:
1. Be the point of contact for internal and external contacts regarding services provided by the Department, including dealing with visitors, telephone and email enquiries, and customer queries.
2. Collate, input, and retain accurate data and information into electronic and manual Departmental Systems, including data retrieval and presentation to senior colleagues.
3. Develop accurate local databases/spreadsheets/systems under the direction of the manager and run routine standard/template reports.
4. Undertake reception cover as required, signposting customers and providing an effective service.
5. Maintain a strong network with departmental and wider contacts, providing advice on services as appropriate.
6. Distribute relevant current information efficiently and professionally to internal and external contacts.
7. Set up new electronic and manual files and systems for the Department, including storage and retrieval of archived files.
8. Open, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail/faxes and assist with email correspondence/diary management.
9. Provide word processing and basic Excel support following departmental and corporate templates.
10. Issue items of stationery, report shortages, and maintain stock inventories.
11. Undertake straightforward financial administrative duties, including coding invoices and handling petty cash.
12. Arrange meetings, collate and distribute documentation, book accommodation and travel, and take minutes of meetings.
13. Maintain and update confidential employee records using appropriate systems.
14. Ensure high levels of confidentiality in all areas of service provision.
15. Comply with corporate policies and procedures, including health & safety and financial regulations.
This is a full-time role on a temporary basis.
