The Role
As a Quality Inspector, you’ll be the last line of defence before products reach customers. Your responsibility? Ensuring every component meets the highest standards of quality, compliance, and precision. You’ll work with cutting-edge inspection techniques, interpret complex technical drawings, and maintain impeccable records that ensure the smooth running of operations.
You’ll also be responsible for:
* Inspect and verify components to ensure they meet customer specifications, using precision measurement tools.
* Review and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions, ensuring compliance with exacting standards.
* Prepare and maintain quality documentation, ensuring all required paperwork is completed accurately before dispatch.
* Identify and escalate any non-conformances, working closely with the Head of Quality to resolve issues efficiently.
* Approve and sign off Certificates of Conformity and Delivery Notes, ensuring all necessary checks have been met.
* Compile and manage customer documentation packages, making sure they contain all required quality records.
* Monitor and calibrate inspection equipment to maintain precision and reliability.
* Promote a culture of quality and safety, ensuring best practices are followed across all inspection activities.

About You
You are a time-served Quality Inspector with hands-on experience in metal manufacturing, ensuring precision and accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Your ability to interpret engineering drawings and work scopes is essential for carrying out inspections effectively.
You have experience using precision measurement tools to verify components and ensure compliance with strict standards. Accurate documentation of inspection findings is second nature to you, and you communicate effectively across departments. You are self-motivated and reliable, working well both independently and as part of a team.
Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment is preferred, along with a strong understanding of quality assurance, compliance documentation, and resolving non-conformances.
Familiarity with calibration procedures for inspection equipment is a plus. CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) experience is beneficial, as is exposure to lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or ISO quality standards.
