We are now hiring for our site in Peterborough: Welder Fabricator Apprenticeship Opportunity Job Purpose: We are seeking motivated individuals to undertake a comprehensive four-year training programme to become fully qualified Welder Fabricators in our Manufacturing team. Key Features of the Apprenticeship: - Four-year course combining practical training and further education - Work alongside experienced engineers in a friendly team environment - Day release to training provider for Level 3 Apprenticeship in Engineering - Regular salary reviews based on individual progress Main Duties: - Weld and manufacture large and small fabrications to a high standard within specified times - Become proficient in MIG/TIG/MMA welding techniques - Weld mild and stainless-steel components - Interpret engineering (fabrication) drawings and specifications - Assist with testing of finished equipment and complete test records - Work within planned job times and provide feedback on deviations - Contribute to machine and process improvements - Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, assisting other sections when required - Follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures Candidate Profile: - Genuine interest in practical engineering, demonstrated through projects or hobbies - Self-motivated with a determination to succeed - Good communication skills - Curiosity about how things work - Passion for learning new skills - Ability to contribute effectively to teamwork - GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above We welcome applications from: - School leavers - Apprentices who have been made redundant or are part-way through an apprenticeship - Candidates with relevant work experience or qualifications Work Arrangement: This apprenticeship is based at our Peterborough site, with the possibility of occasional travel to customer sites as part of installation and commissioning teams.
