Position
An opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Charge Nurse based at University Hospital Ayr.
What you will do:
Station 16 is a 22 bedded ward delivering in-patient elective orthopaedic care to patient’s across Ayrshire and Arran. As a Band 6 Deputy Charge Nurse within Station 16 you should be a motivated and enthusiastic individual who will deliver exemplary patient care and promote the enhanced recovery ethos. You must have a genuine interest in Orthopaedics and be dedicated to patient centred care. You should have evidence of continued professional development along with all standard mandatory and statutory training up to date. Working in conjunction with the Senior Charge Nurse to lead the team, and deputising in their absence, the post holder will have a responsibility and accountability for maintaining both clinical and staff governance.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
You will be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
Significant post registration experience, with a sound knowledge and experience in the speciality
Post registration qualification relevant to specialty or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of the Organisational policies and Procedures.
