Overview of Role
We are currently looking to recruit an Operations Assistant to join our Operations Control Centre (OCC) team based in our Glasgow Airport Head Office.
Key Responsibilities
1. In conjunction with the Operations Control Centre (OCC), assist the daily operation and forward ad hoc operations.
2. Ensure all flight plans are active for the day's operation, delaying, cancelling & refiling where necessary.
3. Monitor all NOTAMs.
4. Ensure all movement messages, ETA’s / ETD’s are updated in the company’s flight watch system.
5. Ensure compliance with all applicable business and industry-specific regulations, and legislative requirements, as prescribed in the OCC and Flight Operations Manuals.
6. Proactively monitor and analyse all available information to pre-empt and minimize or avoid operational disruptions.
7. Ensure station contacts are up to date for third-party service providers.
8. Advise internal stakeholders of significant events affecting the operation as directed by the OCC Controller.
9. Assist the daily Crewing function where required and as directed by the Crew Controller on duty.
10. Perform other duties as directed by the OCC Manager/OCC Controller on duty.
Skills and Knowledge
1. The ability to act proactively and with limited direct supervision, while recognizing when matters need to be referred to more senior managers.
2. Written and oral communication skills necessary to initiate and respond to correspondence, and to deal with other forms of communication.
3. The ability to work accurately with detailed information and ensure that practical tasks are effectively implemented.
4. E-literate and competent in developing, administering and using PC and associated networks and systems to acquire, manipulate and disseminate information. Proficiency with MS Office 365 (Predominantly Excel & Word).

Training and Experience
1. Relevant previous experience in a similar role, although not essential, would be advantageous.
2. Educational qualifications that demonstrate proficiency in English Language and numerical skills.
