Job Description:
Purpose:
Undertaking full responsibility for the running and operation of the HTI sample room. Installing the implementation of a new barcoding system. Working with the Hong Kong office to always provide a fully stocked sample room throughout the year. Maintaining strong relationships with Sales, Marketing, and the Hong Kong office.
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for managing and organising all product samples, ensuring they are updated seasonally. Maintain accurate stock numbers at all times.
2. Carry out daily showroom checks ensuring it is customer ready.
3. Take joint responsibility with the appropriate product teams for samples in the showroom, always ensuring the very best sample is displayed.
4. Co-ordinate requested samples for offsite retailer previews. Where required, ensure cost-effective transportation is organised and monitored. Collaborate with the appropriate salesperson to ensure stock is delivered undamaged and returned undamaged.
5. Manage stock replenishment requirements to ensure seasonal lines always have available stock.
6. Arrange the delivery and shipping of samples in line with requests, providing full shipping details to the appropriate member of the team.
7. Implement the NetSuite stock management system with a comprehensive barcoded scanning system for stock in and out.
8. Conduct monthly stock checks and provide this information individually to the appropriate category manager.
9. Have a thorough understanding of our process for product coding, including suffix codes and how these are utilised.
10. Rework sample stock to accommodate different retailer requirements. Collaborate with Product Managers and the Design team to ensure relevant changes, such as packaging modifications, are addressed before samples are sent out.
11. If a salesperson's request cannot be entirely fulfilled, collaborate directly with the product team and design team to ensure the provision of a correct mock-up box to complete the request.
12. Responsibility for the following samples, ensuring accurate availability is always maintained by each category:
* Photography Samples
* Salesman Samples (first shot, packaging not approved and snagging checks to be completed)
* Production Samples for sales personnel
* Carry forward/Ongoing lines
* Contractual Samples for licensors
* Samples for Trade Shows, Off Site Customer Previews and Showroom
* Marketing Samples
* NSP Samples
* Packaging only for key lines
1. Coordinate sample requests received from all departments, fulfilling these requests in a timely and efficient manner, and ensuring records of actions are kept up to date.
2. Understand and troubleshoot any changes to sample specifications. An understanding of the product life cycle is required to ensure samples are transitioned from Salesman to pre-production, and finally to production when necessary. Remove discontinued lines. Ensuring the sample room is always well-stocked and organised with the appropriate samples.
3. Receive and unpack daily deliveries and ensuring all requests for ‘delivery out’ are met in a timely manner.
4. Build a strong relationship with our couriers to ensure when parcels are delayed or lost, timely updates can be provided.
5. Ensure that sample and stock requests made to Hong Kong or to the UK warehouse are received as ordered. Liaise with appropriate teams (UK & Hong Kong) in case of discrepancies.

Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
