Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Property Assistant to support the management and maintenance of our two care homes in Westgate and Dover. You will be expected to work between both homes equally. This role is essential for ensuring that our properties are well-maintained, safe, and welcoming for all residents and visitors. This position would be suitable for someone motivated to make a difference to people’s lives by ensuring the environment around them is safe and suitable to their needs.
Duties
1. Assist the maintenance team with planned and reactive maintenance in our residential care homes.
2. Identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards, bringing this to the attention of management.
3. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and property conditions.
4. Provide excellent customer service to residents, addressing their concerns and requests promptly.
5. Support the maintenance team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
6. Familiarity with working in a health care setting.
Skills
1. Effective communication skills and ability to build good rapport with the residents that live within our services.
2. Ability to maintain a high standard of customer service at all times.
3. Effective time management in a fast-paced environment.
4. Painting and decorating experience.
5. General DIY knowledge.
6. Must hold a valid driving licence and use of own vehicle.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From £11.50 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
